The UN 17 sustainable development goals

In 2015, the member states of the United Nations adopted a resolution that defines 17 challenges to be solved by 2030 to defeat poverty, achieve peace and prosperity, and protect the planet.

The challenges are interconnected, recognizing how they affect each other. Along with this, the agreement that defines them includes support mechanisms for countries that may be left behind.

The magnitude of the challenge adopted implies that multiple organizations and individuals are required in various fields of action with different types of skills and specialties. It is here where, in addition, education plays a leading role, not only in the development of these skills, but also in motivating young people to be part of the solution to these challenges.

The following is the complete list of the 17 challenges. What do you think is the role of education, and of your role in the university, in achieving these goals? You can add your answer in the comments of this article.
